Main responsibilities

As Guilford’s Senior Branch Manager, it will be your chance to shape Skipton Building Society for years to come – your input, ideas and feedback will help us refine our future model of customer care, which in turn, will drive our success. Naturally, this is a role for a dynamic, charismatic manager with solid financial services experience – and all the necessary flair, energy and enthusiasm to be the face of a bold new way of doing business. So, as well as managing people, risk controls, resources, and the business, you’ll be hands-on, out front, sitting down with customers, bringing them a cuppa and your wealth of financial expertise. 

Ideal candidate

With a proven track record in successfully managing all the conflicting priorities of a busy branch – you’ll also be an excellent listener and people person, who genuinely cares. Outgoing, warm and friendly, you’ll be highly self-aware too, and have the ability to step back, see the bigger picture and learn on the job to continually refine the customer service model. So there’ll be the potential for all kinds of change – which you’ll be able to manage and adapt to easily, as you motivate your team, run the branch and provide a genuinely helpful service our customers can trust.
