Bookkeeper / Client Accountant - St Albans

Our Client, a well-regarded local independent estate agent, letting agent and property management company who have two offices and from these offices the business successfully serves the mid Hertfordshire district. They are looking to recruit a Bookkeeper/Client Accountantto join their busy team in St Albans.

Estate Agency is highly competitive in St Albans and our client is well known for providing dependable advice and achieving exceptional results for their clients.

Main Purpose of Role

  • To process and control all movements of the Client and Business Accounts.


  • Business Account Bank Reconciliation - Daily
  • Client Bank Reconciliation - Daily, Weekly and Monthly
  • Client Bank Reconciliation - Detailed - Monthly
  • Check bank reconciliation for payments not sent - weekly
  • Client Account queries
  • Pre-lim deposit return
  • TDS deposit return
  • TDS deposit transfers
  • Creating fee invoices
  • Crediting amended fee invoices
  • Release landlord retentions - daily
  • Review and control of unallocated spreadsheet
  • Reconciliation of branch suspense accounts
  • Check reconcile balance report for vacant TT/LL
  • Paragon/ Homelet Referencing
  • Paragon/ Homelet Warranties
  • Paragon/ Homelet Renewals
  • Agency Fee Transfer
  • Branch Reports
  • Processing of all business supplier invoices via Sage
