Drainage Engineer Job in London paying circa £33000 + travel

Your new company focuses on drainage infrastructure projects across London; delivering surveys, advice, solutions and detailed design work for a number of key clients. Clients include TFL, LUL and Network Rail. They currently employ over 250 members of staff to deliver reactive and planned civil engineering work to the rail sector. Their time operating in this sector has firmly established them as the 'Go to' company for all rail based civil work. The breadth and depth of their experience ensures that they are able to add value to any project, regardless of its size or complexity. They do much more than simply delivering projects; they design, manage and partner. The design team is established on a number of long running frameworks that guarantee them consistent work for the foreseeable future along with numerous projects from the internal client base, to the extent they can't currently deliver all the work and have to turn some of it away.
Your new role
Your new role will sit within the Design team located in central London. They are currently looking for an experienced Drainage Engineer to join the growing team. You will be in charge of your own projects, preparing resource plans and fee estimates for engineering design tasks as well as preparing drawings and models from outline designs and calculations. You will also be assisting in survey and inspection works on site. The job combines in office design work, modelling and on site work (including night work on occasion). This gives a well-rounded experience base, perfect for pursuing chartered status.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in your new role you will need to have a Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or similar. You will have experience in an engineering design environment, evidence of practical experience and skills in detailing of civil engineering works, including drainage and civil engineering structures. You will be able to work alone and as a member of a tight knit team to deliver work to tight deadlines and scheduled programmes. Experience in Microdrainage / Windes and AutoCAD software for drainage modelling, alignment design, and/or visualisation will be essential, knowledge on ArcGIS is beneficial. This is a client facing job so strong communication and presentation is essential.
