Location: Portsmouth

Salary: £28,000-£30,000 (£14.36-£15.38 p/h)

Hours: Full Time

We are currently looking for highly motivated experienced and passionate Recovery / Anaesthetic Nurse to join an excellent theatre team in Portsmouth. You will be joining at a very exciting time where department growth, technology and staff progression is at the heart of the department.

Specialties include orthopaedic , cancer care, colorectal , cosmetic surgery, dermatology ent, gynae, urology and much more. The hospital has a fantastic reputation for providing very high quality care and is in a central location so is easily accessible via public transport links around the Portsmouth area.

What you will be doing:

  • As Recovery / Anaesthetic Nurse you will assess patient's health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload.
  • As Recovery / Anaesthetic Nurse you will assist in the delivery of care to meet patient's health and wellbeing.
  • As Recovery / Anaesthetic Nurse you will provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
  • As Recovery / Anaesthetic Nurse you will assist in maintaining and developing services.
  • As Recovery / Anaesthetic Nurse you will assist acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.

What you'll need:

  • As Recovery / Anaesthetic Nurse you will be registered with the appropriate governing board (nmc/hcpc)
  • As Recovery / Anaesthetic Nurse you will be competent across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration/practitioner qualification and additional training.
  • You will have knowledge and experience of a range of approaches to the management of patients utilising clinical reasoning.
  • You will have understanding of Health Environment policies and legislation including Clinical, HR, E&D, Governance.
