Sheridan Maine is currently recruiting for a small to medium enterprise based in Hampshire who is currently recruiting a part-qualified Management Accountant. Specialising in the I.T sector, the successful individual will be involved in a challenging and varied role. Dynamic in nature you will have the opportunity to work with the Financial Accounts and Management Accounts, the accounts relating to new company acquisitions, as well as gain valuable management experience, supervising the team when the Financial Controller is away.

The business is a specialist within its field and has been growing year on year. They offer clear development opportunities and many of their employees have grown throughout the ranks.

- Production of the monthly management accounts to required deadlines through planning, interrogation, rigorous analysis and use of the team
- Analysis of weekly profitability, monthly departmental overhead analysis and other ad hoc analysis and reports as required, such as probability analysis by customer, product and market segment
- Completion of VAT, Corporation Tax, Intrastat and other statutory returns
- Management of the finance team by ensuring the purchase ledger, payments cycle, credit control and sales ledger is managed accurately and on a timely basis
- Ensure that the financial function is robust and adaptable to take on new business streams and acquisitions
- Complete forecasts relating to payments and collections, monthly cash forecasts with a weekly review for progress and assess the foreign currency requirements for the business and recommend any action to the Finance Director
- Work with budget holders to understand their spend, the requirements of each department and help them to forecast
