NQT Primary Teaching with Induction Support
A wonderful East London Primary school are currently looking for an NQT to join their expanding team from September 2017 as a lower key stage two (KS2) class teacher.
The school are three form entry school in EYFS, key stage one (KS1) and two form in key stage two (KS2). The size of the school enables NQTS to get a really good level of support as multiple forms means that they have other staff members within their year group to plan with. It is still of a size that means that every teacher's contribution really matters and they are able to really make a difference in the school.
The school are looking for an NQT to join both key stage one (KS1) and key stage two (KS2). The currently have the capacity to move some teachers around so as to accommodate the successful candidates year group preference. The school are able to support induction and also have a member of staff who specifically supports NQTs.
CPD opportunities are brilliant as they provide individual personalised coaching from a respected local consultant for each teacher with a session each term. They encourage middle leader development and subject leader development and NQTS get CPD in a teaching school nearby and have an input into which school they go to. They also offer little perks like subsidised yoga classes for staff members.
They are really keen on going on school trips and having visitors come in. It is expected that each class will go on two every half term and these are really well funded. They also have regular workshop in bringing History to life. They really value creatively and although already really well resourced they are more than willing to support any new ideas that teacher have. The school are really committed to building really strong relationships with pupils parents in order to create a community like feel to the school where everyone works closely together.
The ideal candidate will have completed either their PGCE or a Bachelor of Education and have been graded good or outstanding in all of their placements. Experience in inner London is advantageous but not necessary. The school are very happy to consider candidates who have experience elsewhere and are looking to relocate to London.
The school is really easily accessible by both car and train. The school encourage potential candidates to come and look around the school before interviewing so that they get a feel for the atmosphere of the school.
