A City based insurance company have a new opportunity for a Claims Technician. Responsibilities will include providing technical and process support to the claims team. The role will also involve the handling of claims on some non-lead accounts including various run-off lines.This role would suit a second or third jobber with claims support experience, who is looking to move into a Claims Adjusting role longer term. There will be some work handling Casualty claims and ECF experience would be advantageous. A good knowledge of Excel is essential.


To take responsibility for handling of some non-technical claims including run-off business
Updating diary dates, responding to updates on follow claims
To assist the manager in providing support to the technical claims functions.
Processing of group claims from automatic and manual bordereaux
Management of transactional London market bureaux claims in ILU/CLASS
To regularly track data quality and flag up large movements in order to check their accuracy
To produce regular and ad-hoc claims reporting
To understand the data warehouse in order to be able to reconcile claims reporting back to source systems and identify drivers of trends
To provide assistance, where required, in project work including gathering requirements and data, recording results, organising testing etc.
Other duties including chasing for updates, recovering deductible payments and other account management activities.
