Data Scientist (Junior) London to £35k

Data Scientist / Mathematician (MSc PhD Mathematics Statistics Machine Learning). Start-up FinTech software house that offers a new type of credit facility for small businesses is seeking a naturally bright, logical Data Scientist to join the Risk team responsible for their highly complex Risk calculation platform.

Working closely with the software engineering team you will help develop cutting edge algorithms using statistical modelling and Machine Learning. They’re using Python, Pandas, NumPy and SciPy to produce data driven solutions within a fast and dynamic environment. You’ll derive meaningful data and actionable insights from data to provide actionable insights to the business.

The company is very successful with offices in the UK, Germany, Spain, Poland and plans to expand further into Europe. Based in Central London, this friendly, collaborative environment encourages knowledge sharing and offers a casual dress code with excellent career progression.

Requirements:

  • Excellent record of academic achievement including MSc and / or PhD (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics preferred)
  • Interest in Machine Learning and Statistics
  • Ideally you will have some experience with data modelling / complex data analysis
  • Collaborative team member with great communication and interpersonal skills
