FINANCE MANAGER | FTSE LISTED BANKING GROUP | £60-65K + BONUS | ACA/ACCA/CIMA QUALIFIED (c.2-4 YRS' PQE) | PREVIOUS FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING/CONTROL EXPERIENCE NECESASSARY

Our client is an extremely dynamic and prestigious FTSE listed Banking Group that specialises in providing Wealth Management and lending services.

They are seeking a Finance Manger to manage the Regulatory Reporting, Management Reporting and Financial Reporting deliverables as well as developing and mentoring junior members of the team. It's a very exciting opportunity for someone looking to take on a managerial role.

Applicants must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with around 2-4 years' post-qualification experience. Candidates ought to also have previous experience preparing accounts. Previous Financial Services experience is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliverables

* Complete monthly, quarterly, interim and year end reporting
* Own Regulatory reporting including challenging assumptions, verifying data sources and interpretation of new reporting requirements from the Bank of England and the PRA. These include FSA's, BOE returns, FINREP, LCR, COREP and internal / external audits on returns
* Understand monthly performance and prepare commentary on key monthly variances for the financial statements including income, funding charges and costs
* Conduct regular reviews and sign-off of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations (normally prepared by Financial Accountant)
* Provide tight financial control over the Balance Sheet, while mitigating risks to the P&L
* Prepare Statutory Accounts
* Ensure that financial and management reporting is performed accurately & to prescribed timescales and quality standards
* Ensure accurate reporting (preparation/ review) from the financial systems (e.g. SAP, CARS).
* Act as the main point of contact for the FP&A and Operations teams within the business
* Act as the key point of contact for the Finance Directors, Financial Controllers, Group Finance and external auditors
* Liaise with the business to ensure that costs, including project related costs, are accurately recorded and reported
* Contribute to ad-hoc projects as necessary

* Recruit, train and employ high calibre employees within budget, headcount levels and temporary resource requirements
* Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
* Provide oversight and direction to employees
* Hold regular one-to-ones with direct reports ensuring that feedback is provided in a constructive way whilst working with the employee to facilitate personal development

Candidate Requirements:

* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified - c. 2-4 years' PQE
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong financial accounting experience including overseeing the month end process
* Confident when dealing with senior stakeholders in the business
* Ability to manage / manipulate large volumes of data
* Excellent presentation skills
* Very strong Excel skills
* Proven excellent organisational skills
* Ability to work productively with people at all levels in the organisation
* Ability to pick up new skills and tasks quickly
* Ability to work at a fast pace
* Self-starter
