Hampton’s Children in Care Division are currently working with an independent, care-focussed children’s home provider to support their recruitment of a Service Manager for their new, purpose built unit in West London.

The home is a purpose-built unit, comprising of two 4 bedded homes and a 2 bedded supported living apartment. The Service Manager will report to the Head of Care and will lead and direct the work of the Deputy Manager, Team Leaders and RCW’s, who will be working alongside educational and psychological professionals, to ensure the highest quality care is provided to maximise individual potential and provides a safe and positive home experience that meets National Minimum Standards and the principles of the ‘Every Child Matters’ Agenda.

Applicants must have the following:

    Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential ChildcareA minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential care or a directly related field, at least two of these must be at management level.Understanding of a variety of different therapeutic models.Experience dealing with Children suffering from a variety of EBD needs.Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to delegate effectively.An ability to effectively and confidently conduct employee relations issues such as; disciplinary, grievance, performance management, supervision, appraisals etc.An ability to work both under own initiative and as part of a management team and overall team whilst maintaining professional relationship boundaries with non-management staff.Detailed understanding of Children’s Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000, Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and other relevant legislation.Ability to oversee the development of care delivery to children and young people.A good understanding of complex issues surrounding children and young people with disabilities and associated needs.
£40,000 - £50,000 - Negotiable based on experience
