Exciting opportunity to work for an award winning, driven and motivated company - Lowestoft based - extensive UK travel

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our fantastic client in Lowestoft who, due to an expanding team are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to support and drive the business growth. The role will require you to:

  • Pro-actively source, build and manage strategic relationships across the UK
  • Represent the company acting as an ambassador
  • Work with new and existing suppliers in order to seek and secure product growth
  • Work alongside other business units within the company to identify new opportunities
  • Ensure information/data required for website etc is accurate
  • Make pricing recommendations to new suppliers (based on benchmarking and competitive analysis)
  • Alongside the Head of Business Development, review account profitability
  • Work closely with suppliers to communicate promotional opportunities

Successful applicants will need to have the following:

  • Proven background in supplier liaison/management (face to face and telephone)
  • Sound commercial acumen
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience of dealing with ‘high value’ suppliers
  • Strong presentations skills – knowledge of MS PowerPoint

Additionally you will need to be:

  • Commercially astute and able to interpret financial data
  • Able to independently hold and manage regular high level commercial meetings
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively to tight deadlines.
  • Able to travel nationally

Salary: £25k + bonus + a fully expensed company car

Please note - extensive UK travel is required within this role alongside overnight stays therefore a full, clean, UK driving licence is an essential element of the role.
