Sales Manager – Local Authority & Housing Associations

Job Title: Southern Specification Sales Manager – Local Authorities & Housing Associations

Industry Sector: Local Authorities, Housing Associations, M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, Architects and other Specifiers

Area to be covered: South – based South East

Remuneration: £40,000-£42,000 (Neg.) + £6,000-£10,000 Bonus

The role of the Southern Specification Sales Manager Local Authorities & Housing Associations will involve:

·Field sales position, selling water treatment, filters, chemicals and scale reducing heating and plumbing solution that cleans and protects central heating systems

·75% of your time focussed on winning specifications with Gas Managers, within local authorities and housing associations, who manage the boiler maintenance contracts

·25% of your time stimulating demand on commercial projects with M&E consultants, M&E contractors, architects and other specifiers

·90% of your time new business development, 10% of your time managing circa 5/6 existing projects, ensuring they are running smoothly

·Full list of housing associations will be provided

·Targeted on volume of project specifications won, ideally 2-3 contacts per month

·Order values can vary , but typically 200-500 filters per housing association at a cost of circa £50 each

·Proposal writing, negotiating terms and implementing contractual agreements

The ideal applicant will be a Southern Specification Sales Manager Local Authorities & Housing Associations with:

·3-5 years specification sales experience with local authorities and housing associations

·Proven experience managing contractor relationships

·Preferably with industry contacts with local authorities & housing associations

·Ideally a domestic plumbing and heating background

·Product knowledge of boilers, sanitary ware, radiators, pumps and an appreciation of how central heating systems work preferred

·Strong in prospecting, closing and growing new accounts
