Salary package: circa £60,000 p/a (including car allowance), plus benefits

The role of Finance Manager / Controller will be key in contributing to the strong financial performance of the business, implementation of the changes and management of the processes that will ensure that we achieve our goal – to make the very best use of our resources so we can provide new affordable homes and a fair deal for existing residents.

This means that we will run an excellent business: Using commercial disciplines, and continually strive to deliver efficiency improvements and will attract high quality staff, invest in their skills, and hold them to account for effective delivery.
The goal is quite simple; providing more homes for people who need them, by running an efficient and successful enterprise.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent commercial experience with a proven track record of business partnering, insightful analytics, robust financial reporting and multidimensional management reporting.
You will work closely with the Deputy Finance Director and will have the ability to communicate at all levels. Implementing strong financial controls and processes should be second nature as these are critical elements of the role. You will be expected to have strong analytical and financial reporting skills and will manage a team of 5 Management Accountants / Finance Business Partners. Developing a high performing team will be a substantial part of your remit. Candidates should have broad experience gained outside of the housing sector eg. Property Maintenance, Development or other Commercial Sectors.
