A well- known jewellery company are currently recruiting a Credit Controller to work within their small but busy finance department.

The core function of this role is to reduce aged debt and maintain an accurate sales ledger. The role will involve liaising with clients via telephone and email, collection of payments via BACS and credit card payments and developing strong relationships with customers to ultimately improve credit control efficiency to ensure that the accounts remain clean and all overdue accounts are investigated.

Job Description

- Running weekly aged debtors report (multi currrency)
- Maintaining manual cash- book and sales day- book
- Processing and allocating sales receipts
- Maintaining filing of all correspondence & changes in customer details
- Performing credit checks, setting customer credit limits & monitoring customers
- Maintaining sales ledger & customer details on accounting system
- Sending out sales account statements and invoices to the customers
- Ensuring that month end and year end tasks are completed in line with the timetable
- Filing of all remittances general correspondance in a timely manner and all paperwork is up to date
- Monthly reporting
- Dealing with any queries relating to the sales ledger including charge backs and returns from sales
- Liaise with other departments in the company
- Other duties as may be considered necessary.


- Minimum of 1 years' experience in Credit Control 
- Confident, articulate phone manner
- Ability to obtain payments from customers, while keeping good customer relations
- Having a systematic approach to work and eye for detail
- Ability to work proactively
