Overview:

Working to assigned budgets and projects, you will support all aspects of the planning and management of digital marketing campaigns through a range of channels including: email & direct marketing, social media, PPC & display advertising and PR.

Key responsibilities:

Digital communications

  • Map and plan triggered email campaigns via dot Mailer
  • Identify target groups for email and direct mail campaigns and work with external data suppliers to segment data
  • Consulting with design team on layout and visuals of email and direct mail outputs
  • Track and monitor campaigns and report back to clients
  • Implement digital communications strategies
  • Provide reports and analysis of communications strategies
  • Implement social media campaigns, developing a distinct online presence by attracting high numbers of followers through social media channels
  • Liaise with technical, creative and analytical teams to drive through digital marketing changes, website banner designs and web visuals
  • Use web analytics software to monitor performance of client websites and make recommendations for improvement
  • Research new online media opportunities including development of blogs, forums,
  • Work with suppliers for paid media services
  • Assist with lead generation activities
  • Use knowledge of PPC campaigns and the digital media landscape in general to provide advice and insights to clients
  • Keep up to date with developments in the digital communications space such as mobile marketing
  • Engaging with bloggers and educator influencers to implement educator outreach campaigns

Account management

  • Develop client relationships
  • Provide day to day operational support of client accounts
  • Directly interact with client via phone/email/meetings
  • Navigate through different types of relationships ie direct with client or via manager or projects account team

Project management

  • Content management - create and upload copy and images for marketing campaigns
  • Take ownership of discrete aspects of projects and support overall project plans
  • Become involved in new business pitches: providing research, brainstorming ideas, creating visual presentations and presenting to potential clients
  • Help manage campaigns to ensure that they come together in market as scheduled and within budget - pro actively help to problem solve where issues arise to ensure excellent execution.

Administration

  • Raise and input purchase orders and process invoices
  • Follow up on requests and briefs in a timely manner
  • Ensure marketing material is filed so that team can access information easily
  • Send materials/documents from the department via courier, post, etc
  • Ensure timesheets are updated
  • Take minutes for client meetings and ensure these are circulated to relevant team members
  • Be aware of latest trends/opinions and flag interesting campaigns to Marketing team

Internal and external relationships

  • Daily contact with Marketing and Communications Manager and all other members of the Marketing team
  • Frequent liaison with other internal teams, especially Projects and Digital
  • Regular operational contact with clients
  • Operational contact with some clients via projects team
  • Regular contact with external suppliers, managing relationships and troubleshooting technical issues

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to multi-task priorities and handle different projects efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Collaborative team player
  • Sound organisational skills
  • Fluent in English with strong spelling and grammar
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and proactive approach to work
  • Active in social media and interested in keeping up to date with trends in this area
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Education experience and passionate about working for excellence in education
  • Experience in using email marketing automation solutions (dotMailer, Eloqua, Pardot)
  • Understanding of data systems and CRM
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in using web analytics
  • Ability to stay 'cool’ when the pressure is on.
  • Good proofreading skills
  • Active in social media and interested in keeping up to date with trends in this area
  • Strong analytical capabilities
