Electrician - Facilities Maintenance - Fire Bias

Currently I am recruiting for an experienced Electrician within Facilities Maintenance for a client that has teams of highly skilled nationwide directly employed maintenance engineers who carry the latest fault finding equipment to ensure minimum downtime to residents.

They successfully maintain over 150,000 local authority and private landlord multi discipline systems including Communal TV Distribution Systems (coaxial and fibre), CCTV, Fire, Door Entry and Access Control and Automated Gates/Barrier systems across the UK

-carry out lighting / power repairs; repair lighting by having the knowledge of different types of lighting and control circuits
-fault finding on electrical installations
carry out minor installation work; must be familiar with installation of all types of containment and wiring types
-experienced in carrying out all the necessary tests / inspection of the electrical installation and be able to complete necessary certification
-have knowledge of emergency lighting and fire detection & alarm systems, so as to assist in the Service & Maintenance for the Fire & Life Safety discipline
-working via Planned Preventive Maintenance schedule / attending reactive callouts, both in and out of hours / carrying our Service _ Minor Work Projects / assist in commissioning systems / repairing or reporting faults / effective communications between customers and the HO Administration team
-field based role operating within areas defined by the Company either for one or multiple clients.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Requirements - All essential.
-2382 - Requirements for Electrical Installations;Also known as the 17th Edition
-2377 - Electrical Equipment Maintenance and Testing
-2391 - Electrical Installations (or 2395)
-a previous engineering field based role essential
-an excellent knowledge of and extensive experience of multi-skilled service engineering within the electrical industry
-previous experience of working in social sector premises an advantage
-strong awareness of relevant H&S requirements for operating in this role
-strong verbal and written communication skills
-good knowledge of relevant quality / accreditation standards
-define qualifications required (educational and / or professional)
-define knowledge of regulations or specific systems required

Must have and continue to have at all times:

-have a valid right to work in the UK,
-hold a valid UK driving licence
-successful screening check to NSI Gold standard or as required by the Company
