Group marketing and communications manager
Marketing and communications manager - national group-wide role!
My B2C client is a growing name within their sector. As part of a larger international group they enjoy both a strong position within their market, and a larger 'engine' behind them facilitating organic growth and acquisitions.
Due to planned expansion and increased marketing resources, they are looking to appoint a UK marketing manager. This role will be based their office near Amersham with occasional travel into London for creative briefings etc. as per most leadership marketing roles.
This role is pitched at the 'decision maker' level. This means as far as offline marketing is concerned, the 'buck' starts and stops with you. Reporting into the UK Group marketing director, accountabilities for this role will include:
Full autonomy relating to UK budget and expenditure • Briefing the board on marketing planning and delivery
Management of UK offline marketing team, including a number of execs, assistants and dotted lines into creative, and various project streams
Management of all external marketing suppliers relating to offline activities, EG Print, creative, PR and comms agencies
Development and implementation of UK-wide PR and comms strategy
Planning, developing and implementing national and regional marketing campaigns
Feeding into call centre, in-site and online, you will become the owner of the UK customer experience programme as the role develops
This role requires a marketing professional with a legacy of working at management level with control of larger budgets. You will most likely possess a CIM or degree in Marketing of sorts, and be able to demonstrate:
Proven accountability of large national marketing campaigns ideally from B2C organisations such as retailers, leisure, B2C service providers
An offline marketing expert, although you will need to understand the principles of digital marketing so you can work with the digital team
Financially literate - you can understand and have managed marketing budgets in the past
Proven track record in managing marketing execs • Good applied examples of leading and manager PR campaigns
Exposure managing and briefing marketing suppliers
