The Role:

  • To provide technical engineering support within the Hard FM Services department by carrying out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities
  • To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI’s
  • To manage Sub-contractors as necessary
  • Working hours: 5 day shifts Monday - Friday, 07.00-16.00 and 10.00 - 19.00, working an average of 40 hours per week
  • Requirement to participate in the out of hours on call rota and be able to respond/attend site within one hour of the call

The person:

  • A trade apprenticeship together with current qualifications, such as City & Guilds / BTEC National Diploma / NVQ 3 or equivalent in an electrical discipline are essential
  • Experience in building services and knowledge of air handling plant is essential
  • Willingness to attain cross skilling
  • IT Literate
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Demonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills
  • Ability to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems
  • Knowledge of air conditioning systems is desirable
  • Experience in a Healthcare environment an advantage
  • IOSH or equivalent health and safety training preferred
