This is an exciting opportunity for an experience Project Manager to join our Claims IT department managing a range of IT projects and tasks using the Allianz development methodology. You will be responsible for managing teams of Business Analysts, Solution Analysts and Architects, Developers and Testers both onshore and offshore. As a Project Manager you will be working closely with stakeholders to ensure requirements and expectations are clearly understood.

Main duties would include:

  • Ensuring that all projects are preceded by a Project Mandate and Project Brief

  • Working with Claims business and stakeholders to ensure scope and requirements are clearly understood and defined

  • Build, manage and motivate the project team across both UK and India

  • Ensure risks and issues are managed

  • Define and set up realistic project plans

  • Manage change via the Change Control process and control scope creep

  • Ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed timescales and within costs to agreed quality levels.

  • Ensure that the project team and stakeholders are kept informed on project progress using the appropriate project documentation and reports

  • Ensure all documentation, reviews and controls, as defined by the Allianz methodology, are managed.

  • Produce accurate monthly project reports

Skills and experience:

* Prince II Certified
* Proven experience of meeting planned project timescales, budgets and quality
* Experience of managing application development/enhancement projects
* Good experience of managing stakeholders
* Experience of managing projects against the end to end SDLC
* Experience of managing an offshore development team
* Proven experience of managing risks and issues
* Ability to motivate the project team and keep the team working to planned timescales
* Good team working skills
* Experience with Planview
* Cost estimating experience and resource planning
