We have a great opportunity for an Events Fundraiser to join a fantastic Fundraising Team on a six-months fixed term contract where you will get the opportunity to manage all aspects of the established special and challenge events programme.

The Role
The purpose of this role is to provide cover for a 6-month period while the permanent Events Fundraiser takes leave, thus ensuring that the planned and approved events strategy is delivered.

The events fundraising strategy has been in place for 2 years and is a core part of the offering to a wide variety of supporters. Challenge and special events are already scheduled and planned during this period and this contract role will be to ensure the successful delivery and execution of the events and to meet the income budgets for each event.

Implement and deliver all aspects of planned challenge events, which includes skydives, the Richmond Running Festival, Prudential Ride London, the Royal Parks half marathon and the relationship with third party event management companies.
Develop, implement and deliver all aspects of existing special events.
Provide support for events which are organised by individuals and groups of supporters, ensuring that the charity is appropriately represented and relevant guidelines are adhered to, and the opportunity to raise funds and awareness is maximised.
To provide support to other events across the fundraising team and organisation.
Where appropriate, identify, secure and develop new business opportunities focusing on sponsorship opportunities and tailored events for specific groups of groups of supporters. This may include working with the Corporate and Events Fundraising Manager to prepare and deliver presentations and pitches.

The Candidate
Candidates will need to have previous experience gained in an events-related or fundraising role.

Proven experience of building on a challenge event income stream
Proven track record of achieving income targets
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the interests and working methods of challenge events companies.
Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
Proven ability to manage and prioritise a portfolio of events and funders, working to deadlines and agreed targets.
A creative writer able to develop language and themes for marketing events.
