My client, a leading City of London based FTSE 100 telecommunications firm, are looking to hire a Graduate Finance Analyst. The role sits within the FP&A team and reports directly in to the FP&A Manager. The job has arisen due to my client's excellent performance over the last 3 to 5 years (including winning several lucrative contracts throughout the world).

My client has a preference for 2015 or 2016 graduates with 6 months - 12 months' finance experience. Strong academic pedigree is highly desirable. Candidates should be pursuing their CIMA qualification. Full study support will be provided.

The role's duties include reporting and analysing crucial deliverables (i.e. fee recognition, trends and sales revenue), monthly reporting of Business Unit results, compiling and taking charge of variance analysis, preparing forecasts and budgetary analysis for individual business units.

You will be liaising with the FP&A Manager, Commercial Finance Manager and CFO with regards to the P&L and variance analysis. Successful applicants will also be liaising with external stakeholders.

There will be some KPI analysis and meeting with heads of departments to discuss why targets are being missed/achieved (i.e business partnering). Candidates need to be decisive enough to challenge senior members in the business and provide new ideas to increase efficiency.

Excel forms a significant part of the role; candidates will need to be highly adept with building pivot tables, v-look ups and formulas. Experience with macros would be a bonus.
