Recruiting for an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer (Fire bias) for a client that has teams of highly skilled nationwide directly employed maintenance engineers who carry the latest fault finding equipment to ensure minimum downtime to residents.

They successfully maintain over 150,000 local authority and private landlord multi discipline systems including Communal TV Distribution Systems (coaxial and fibre), CCTV, Fire, Door Entry and Access Control and Automated Gates/Barrier systems across the UK.

Main Purpose of Job:
-Service reports to include information, reporting on BS variations for both Fire Detection & Alarm systems / Emergency Lighting systems / AOV systems.
-Carry out site surveys to assist in generating both Fire Detection & Alarm systems / Emergency Lighting systems quotation (report to be forwarded to the Estimating Department)
-Understand and acknowledge PPM / reactive attendance time KPI's
-Experience in Small Works installation for both Fire Detection & Alarm systems / Emergency Lighting systems
-Assist in Project installation for both Fire Detection & Alarm systems / Emergency Lighting systems.

Skills/Knowledge and Experience: - These are essential.

1.Experience in BS5839 parts 1 & 6 - Service & Maintenance and an understanding of Design and installation (For both Conventional and Addressable Fire alarm systems)
2.Experience in BS5266 Service & Maintenance and an understanding of Design and installation.
3.Experience in BS9991 Service & Maintenance and an understanding of Design and installation.
4.Electrical qualifications as per BS7671; City & Guilds Electrical Installations (Not essential but should be able to prove competency in "safe isolation")
5.Experience in fault finding diagnostics, with the confidence to carryout initial assessments on unfamiliar systems. (i.e. Door Entry, Access Control, CCTV and Gates & Barriers)
6.FIA certification - desired (modules 1, 4, 5 & ICEL Emergency Lighting)
7.Willing to train and adapt to technological advances
8.Good communication skills with the Office / Managers / Clients

You must also have;

-have a valid right to work in the UK,
-hold a valid UK driving licence,
-successful screening check to NSI Gold standard or as required by the Company
