Sheridan Maine is recruiting for a Finance Risk Manager to join a large market leading wealth management business in Southampton. This job role supports the Head of Finance Risk, and is designed to provide robust assurance on the internal financial controls framework.

This job role is an integral part of the strategic change this business is going through and will be a visible and influential position. You will be tasked with developing and testing financial controls and compliance framework, reporting to key stakeholders on developments and progress.

Managing and delivering internal control assignments, testing effectiveness of controls and providing challenge to the business and finance to enhance processes are key elements to this job role.

You will need to build strong working relationships within the business to include finance, Internal audit, external audit, risk and the wider business operations in order to successfully deliver the role, thus communication skills are essential.

You will also need to possess a solid internal audit/external audit or risk background gained from within the Financial Services sector and be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/ IIA) to compliment this experience if you are to be successful in your application. Sox experience would be highly beneficial.
