Job Description:

The Finance and Operations team will play a key role in supporting the growth and development of both the group as a whole as well as individual divisions. The Accounts Assistant will report to the Finance Manager and provide support to ensure that business needs are met in a timely fashion.

Key Tasks:

  • Supplier payments and invoice processing
  • Reporting of daily business activity
  • Reporting of daily bank balances
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Reconciliation of other balance sheet accounts
  • Reconciliation of sales invoicing
  • Management of direct debits and standing orders
  • Analysis of credit card and petty cash expenditure
  • Posting of accounting entries to Sage and Xero

Education / Qualifications / Knowledge

  • Previous bookkeeping experience
  • Good Excel skills Essential
  • Numerate & literate Essential

Skills / Training

  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own work load
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Experience of using Sage
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to prepare management information
  • Good telephone manner

Experience

  • Experience in similar role
  • Experience of working in the recruitment sector is desirable
