My clients are an independent management consultancy firm based in London and New York. Due to company growth they are looking to appoint a Financial analyst to join the existing team of 2.

This role is a client facing role and you will spend your days on site with the many multinationals and household name clients across London and the south East.

Client sectors range from top retailers, health care, Media, financial services and energy companies to name but a few sectors and also includes a number of FTSE250 and privately owned businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Analysis and financial modelling - Responsible for gathering and analysing relevant data from internal and external reports, interviews or workshops with project team members and client staff, and interrogation of corporate systems.

*Research to establish as-is financial baseline of client's situation.
*Financial statement / management report analysis e.g. of a client's Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss and Cash Flow statements.
*Building financial models and develop business cases which are easily explained and can be handed over for use by others, including precise and clear documentation on what the model does, how it works, assumptions, etc.
*Structuring and producing reports to present and summarise the outcomes of analysis work in an easily digestible format, for use at a working level with clients and consultants
*Undertaking investment appraisals and building knowledge of non-financial analyses e.g. operational, commercial, and strategic - in a wide variety of situations and organisations.

2.Client relationship management - Liaises with, and advises our external clients within the context of analysis and financial modelling. The finance analyst will work on client site.

3.Project and consultant support - Works on a variety of projects, Provide insight and support to consultants and Partners within the firm

4.Support to client staff- Provides effective instruction and guidance to junior client staff to perform simple data gathering or analysis tasks

Essential experience required:

*You must have experience Working directly with external clients and in a Finance Analyst type role within a Commercial / Strategic finance function in professional services e.g. Due Diligence, Corporate Finance, Business modelling etc
*You must be a fully qualified Accountant ideally ACA or CFA with first time passes in all stages
*Experience in Basic business case development
*Advanced financial modeller
*Auditing of excel based models
*Financial statement analysis, including Gap analysis
*Experience of Working capital, net debt, financial ration, cost benefit analysis
*Investment appraisal
*Valuation concepts & techniques
*Advanced MS Excel
*Advanced MS Powerpoint
*You must have strong presenting skills with the ability to push back and challenge when necessary
