The Company

A well known educational system are Seeking an IT Procurement Assistant to join their team. You will be working at the brand new campus with superb facilities on site.

The Role

You will have oversight of IT procurement and responsibility for managing all IT product and service contracts, specifically:
*Working with Finance and the Head of Strategic Procurement, to ensure that all IT purchasing activity conforms to institutions financial regulations and achieves best overall value
*To draft procurement documentation, including pre-qualification questionnaires, invitation to tenders, scoring matrices and evaluation reports
*Working with the Director of IT and their legal team to draft and refine IT procurement and service contracts
*To ensure that all suppliers are performing in accordance to contracts, particularly in relation to achieving any service level agreements.

Responsibilities

*To ensure that all IT purchasing activity conforms to financial regulations and achieves best overall value
*To develop and maintain number of strategic frameworks/partnerships with key suppliers to ensure the institution achieves best value and best service
*To support the Director of Information Technology in the realisation of the company's Information Technology Strategy
*To draft procurement documentation, including pre-qualification questionnaires, invitation to tenders, scoring matrices and evaluation reports
*Working with the Director of IT and the company's Legal Advisor, to draft IT procurement contracts, service definitions and service levels
*To ensure that all suppliers are performing in accordance to contracts, particularly in relation to achieving any service level agreements
*To hold periodic service and contract review meetings with suppliers
*To maintain a register of all IT and IT-related contracts
*To maintain a calendar of all IT and IT-related contract renewal dates and ensure that all contracts are reviewed and/or renewed and/or re-tendered in good time

Requirements (essential)

*Educated to degree level or equivalent and relevant work experience

*Strong background in IT procurement

*Comprehensive knowledge of best- practice procurement

*Public sector procurement experience

*Experience of negotiating contracts for the supply of goods and services

*Excellent written and oral communications skills with ability to present to a wide and varied audience

*Good investigative and diagnostic skills with the ability to quickly interpret user requirements

*Ability to negotiate requirements and timescales with stakeholders

*Previous line management experience

Requirements (Desirable)

*MCIPS

*Hands-on facilitating tenders at an EU level

*Track record of successful contract negotiation and onward management

*Experience of working in multi-functional teams

*Up to-date working knowledge of EU procurement directives and their use and implementation in a public sector environment

*Experience of negotiating service levels in a services supply contract
