Project Manager - Finance Outsourcing
Robert Half are hiring for an Project Manager, Finance Outsourcing for the outsourcing division of a large international practice. This is a permanent, full-time position. This role has the potential for the successful applicant to move onto Director and then Partner level as the role progresses and the team grows.
Reporting into the Director of Outsourcing, the Project Manager will form part of small team of managers and administrative executives responsible for implementing, monitoring, controlling and managing multi-country, multi-service outsourcing arrangements of finance functions, delivered primarily through the firm's network of local office partnerships.This is a fast growing business which is expanding rapidly and is a core component of the firms global growth strategy.
Activities of the team cover the bid, pricing, implementation and delivery of these contracts. The team will be the focal point in the UK, and possibly Europe in due course, for the management of all significant multi-country outsourcing arrangements. The role demands the highly proactive management of multiple concurrent engagements and proposals and so requires exceptional organisational skills.
-Day to day responsibility for the management of allocated engagements - handling changes in scope, in-country delivery issues and identifying opportunities for on-selling - working in conjunction with an administrative assistant who will track deliverables on the firm's Global Tracker tool.
-Supporting the Director/Partner team to identify and implement changes in processes and procedures as necessary to adapt to the growing business.
-The role will require regular communication with all network locations around the world from, both for the firm and client side, to discuss progress with key deliverables. It will also require the candidate to form a strong relationship with the client contract owner.
-Preparing for and attendance at client Steering Group meetings.
-Identifying opportunities for the on-sell of outsourcing related services.
-Liaising with and reporting to the Director and Team Leader for the project team and with the client service team on the client relationship.
-Liaising with corresponding management group in the firm's Kansas City centre.
-Supporting the Director / Partner with proposals and client presentations.
The company is looking to hire a manager or senior manager with experience of working at a large accountancy practice, outsourcing firm or consultancy.
The successful applicant may either be an experienced project manager with an understanding of the technical areas of a finance function, or may be a technical specialist in an area such as accounting, taxation or bookkeeping who has the commercial and client-facing skills to take on a project management position.
The role demands someone who is very strong on client service and who is a problem solver who is able to proactively solve a client's issues before they are raised. This person will also have the calibre to progress with the firm to director and then partner level.
It is beneficial to hold a professional qualification (ACA / CTA / ACCA / CIMA) but is not strictly required. International experience and language skills would also be a plus.

Salary & Benefits
Salary is likely to be in the region of £60,000 to £70,000, dependent on level of experience and current remuneration.
