Location:London Office Based (although UK travel required)

Hours of Work: 37.5 per week

BEFM is targeting significant growth across targeted market sectors. In order to ensure this growth it has created a multi-disciplinary central team to drive the PQQ and tender preparation process.

In addition to supporting the Sales Director the post holder will liaise with and provide support to the Bid Manager, Business Development Directors in winning new business.

The post holder will have ownership of PQQ, RFI and RFP from new and existing clients, leading these from arrival to submission. This is an opportunity for an experienced bid writer to develop a winning solution with an entrepreneurial approach with excellent project management skills to ensure bids are submitted in a timely way. The post holder will be someone who has direct TFM experience and who is commercially astute.

The post holder will provide an accessible point of contact and source of bidding expertise for the company as whole.

Note: this role will require frequent travel

Main duties and responsibilities

This post provides professional and technical & soft bid best practice experience to the central resource team – both full time members of the team and individuals attached to the team or working with it on an ad hoc basis to submit winning bids by:

·Ownership of PQQ, RFI and RFP from new and existing clients, leading these from arrival to submission

·Ensuring the sales process is followed

·Coordinating market intelligence activities;

·Developing a winning theme and solution

·Developing and maintaining a central library of information and support material;

·Working alongside the Sales Director, Bid Manager and business development team to manage PQQ activity and qualification processes.

·Managing tender preparation and response processes

·Writing reports, responses and proposals with the support of the team and wider company support

·Developing a written bid showing creativity and Entrepreneurial approach

·Providing high level advice across a wide range of FM bidding activity;

·Contributing to the design of the commercial bid strategy and solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

·Degree, degree level and/or relevant professional qualification

·Good understanding of OJEU procurement process and the wider FM service procurement processes and procedures including all differing procurement vehicles

·High level project management skills

·Proven track record in delivering projects and outputs to a high level of quality within stipulated timeframes

·Excellent working knowledge of relevant FM sectors

·A broad practical understanding and appreciation of operational activity

·Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers and fostering a good relationships
