Do you have the ability to reach out to young people, and like the idea of joining a company that will grow and develop your career?

We are recruiting for a large training provider who have been awarded a contract to help NEET clients (Not in Education, Employment or Training) aged 16 – 18 to provide them a career advice service to help them get on track with their lives through either education or employment.

The tough part, and where you come in, is finding them.  These are kids who have slipped through the net, and your task is to go out and find them.  Once you find them, you will provide support, and advice and guidance to them, with the main part of this task being passed over to a qualified careers advisor.
However, you will be able to learn and grow into this role over time.  Eventually being able achieve the careers guidance qualification yourself.  This will involve networking in community centres, libraries, youth events, skate parks, shopping centres, or often just out on the street – approaching young people and finding out if they qualify for this service, and would like their own career coach.  Hey, even Usain Bolt and Andy Murray need a coach.  And for these kids, having someone dedicated to helping their career is a great opportunity for them.

To apply, its essential that you can demonstrate that you have previously engaged with young people from cold in an outreach capacity.  You will have a genuine desire for working with young people and developing a career in this area.  Its likely you will already have worked within the youth sector in some capacity.
