The role

The main purpose of this role is to work as a Mental Health Social Worker/AMHP undertaking, outcome focused assessments of the needs of vulnerable adults and their carers: central to this role are the tasks associated with promoting relapse prevention, enabling independence, self-directed support, choice and control. Risk management and safeguarding will also be key parts of this role (including children’s safeguarding), together with case coordination support for those adults requiring frequent specialist intervention to meet their needs. You will participate in the team duty service.

As an AMHP you will be participating on the Borough wide AMHP rota.

What we’re looking for

Our Promoting Recovery Team based at Deptford is looking for enthusiastic and motivated social workers/Care Coordinators to join a high quality, responsive service for people with psychosis. The team is designed to ensure the right treatment and care is delivered at the right time in the right place and by the right people. Ideally we are looking for someone who has experience in care-coordination.

The team is part of SLaMs Adult Mental Health Model that offers focused, evidence-based and effective interventions to optimise recovery and promote the well-being of service users.

We are looking to appoint a qualified AMHP or a qualified social worker interested to become AMHP qualified.

Salary details

Social Worker/Mental Health £34,725 - £36,549 pa ( SCP 36-38)

Senior Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Professional £38,532 - £40,380 pa (SCP 40-42)
