A rapidly expanding, market leading Chartered Accountant firm is seeking an experienced Accounting Admin Assistant / Book-keeper to join their accounts team. Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, the successful Accounts Admin Assistant / Bookkeeper will earn a salary between £22,000 and £26,000 depending on experience. 

The role of Accounts Admin Assistant / Bookkeeper requires a confident individual for the maintenance, reconciliation and preparation of all accounting. The company offers tailored and timely services to all its clients to aid their business to develop and become more profitable. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

- Management of Sales ledger including, raising invoices, recording and matching customers’ receipts, query management
- Management of Purchase ledger including, reconciling supplier accounts,
- Management of Nominal ledger including, preparing and posting journals and expenses claims, posting bank statements and credit card receipts, reconciling bank and credit cards and balance sheet
- Preparing quarterly VAT return
- Management of any payroll and dividends payments
- Supporting the payroll department as and when required
- Preparing MI and analysis reports to management as required
- Maintaining good relationships with clients and their customers

The successful Accounts Admin Assistant / Bookkeeper will have demonstrable experience and knowledge within the Accounting industry, in addition to possessing the following skills and experience:

- Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative
- Capable of working unsupervised, as well as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, Word and Outlook
- Keen eye for details with a good level of accuracy
