A Business Development Manager is required for a permanent role with a leading software business, selling in to the professional sports market. The product is used by some of the top football clubs in the world for player analysis, coaching, scouting and recruitment. As a Business Development Manager you will take the lead in raising the company's profile in this sector.

In this sales position you will be responsible for growing the customer base in this sector and developing the existing customers in the space to hit and exceed set revenue targets from the business. The route to market for the product is through direct sales and also working with existing and new partners so you will require a strong background in sales and sales strategy.

Working in sales you must have first class communication skills and the tenacity to network and develop new opportunities within a competitive sports market. As well as knowledge of the sports market you should have a high level of technical competency and have the ability to learn the products quickly in order to demo and sell effectively.

Please note, the Business Development Manager role requires regular sales visits around the UK and abroad to clients and prospects so a willingness and the availability to travel is essential.
