About the role


Working within the Consumer Sales Strategy team, this role is a key opportunity to shape, develop and support the future strategy for Consumer Sales and Retail in a rapidly changing omni-channel, converged world.

The Strategy team are accountable for strategy development within Consumer Sale and Retail, ensuring that there is a clear future vision, strategy and direction for all aspects of retail. Looking externally for best practice across industry, providing thought leadership around future innovation and working closely with colleagues in Vodafone Group to make the most of our store estate. This role is key to supporting the Consumer Sales leadership team, the Retail Leadership team in ensuring Retail develops to be best in class within the mobile industry and beyond.

Collaborating with colleagues across the UK business, the Retail Strategy Specialist is a key role within the team, ensuring that we have the necessary insight and alignment to ensure that our mid to long range plans are robust and will drive long term success. The Specialist role will help to review our current approach and to create the plans needed to implement change across our store estate.


You’ll be responsible for:


Will work with Consumer Sales Strategy Manager to create clear plan and vision for Retail in line with Group recommendations and Consumer initiatives.

Will work on Long Range Plan (LRP) and Group submissions to identify resources need to deliver the plan and ensure alignment to the UK Customer plan.

Lead role on key projects aligned to the future of retail and supporting the transition towards becoming a digital retailer as part of Digital Telco.

Ownership of the Retail LRP and identify innovation required to support the delivery of the plan. Will model and business case any initiatives required to support the delivery of the plan.


Things we would consider critical for the role:


Able to create insight, review, interpret and draw conclusions from multiple data sources

Experienced in creating business plans and reviewing costs

Liaising with teams/stakeholders across the business

Experience of working in retail advantageous

Ability to make connections and confidently present this both verbally and in written form

Experienced in using PowerPoint
