What We Are Looking For:

Someone smart, numerate, with a passion for the understanding what motivates consumers. Do you want to apply insight and analytics to commercial problems to provide actionable recommendations? Can you explain complex problems in a simple and clear way? Do you have an inquisitive mind to explore and improve projects using a breadth of research and customer data?

What You'll Be Doing

The customer insight analyst role will be dedicated to understanding our customers and how we can encourage them to become regular shoppers. The role will involve understanding our interactions with our shoppers and the effect they have. What causes someone to change their shopping habits and how can we be the best supermarket for all of our shoppers - especially when everyone has their own idea of 'best'? The role will involve extracting, manipulating and analysing data to make critical recommendations.
Responsibilities include
*Extracting, manipulating and analysing data to provide critical management information to enable decision making on the key questions facing the retail team
*Working as part of a team to draw out the commercial implications of pieces of analysis and provide concise summaries to senior management
*Managing stakeholders

What do we need from you?

*Numerate and analytical thinking with ability to apply these skills in a marketing context
*Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
*Curiosity about customer motivations and human behavior
*Strong communication, teamwork and influencing skills
*Excellent Excel skills and experience with SQL
*Experience with Tableau would be advantageous
*Numerate or Technical Degree (2:1 and above), with Mathematics A Level (or equivalent) Grade B or above
