Sheridan Maine Public Practice is currently recruiting for a highly regarded accountancy firm based in Southampton, who is offering a permanent Practice Accounting Manager job, to join their progressive team.

Supporting junior staff through training contracts and mentorship alike, the firm also works with experienced, qualified employees to further their personal and technical development and aim for partner positions.

The Practice Accounting Manager will include:

- Managing a portfolio of clients.
- Planning and reviewing assignments.
- Review of work completed by junior members of the team, including supervision and feedback.
- Working to agreed deadlines and setting assignment budgets.
- Working directly with clients, setting expectations, managing fees and leading meetings.

As a successful applicant for the Practice Accounts Manager vacancy you will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with prior experience of working within a practice based role. You will either have worked with a portfolio of clients at a managerial level previously, or have prior exposure to working across multiple clients and be looking to step into a managerial position.

You will be expected to work under your own initiative, with experience of working within finance post qualification. Strong communication skills will be required for both client interaction and training junior staff. Proven computer skills will also be expected, to include Microsoft Excel and account preparation software.
