My client is looking for an entrepreneurial, proactive and driven Venue Event Sales Executive to join this amazing & Iconic London Venue. Ideal candidates will have experience of working within a venue or large hotel offering multiple events space. You will be responsible for meeting a sales target by responding to all incoming enquiries & proactively seeking new clients through business development.

Key Responsibilities:

- To meet Monthly and Annual Sales Targets including department revenue, conversion, pro-active sales calls , new business appointments and calls as well as monthly focus market segment
- To build business through proactive (warm / cold calling etc) selling to prospective and existing clients externally & internally.
- Assisting in implementing the sales strategy as set by the Sales managers, including strategies for encouraging repeat business and up-selling.
- To follow up all enquiries, preparing proposals where necessary and facilitating showrounds with potential clients to show them our facilities
- Responsible for conversion of incoming enquiries from all sources into confirmed business.
- To carry out telephone negotiations and host site meetings to include comprehensive and professional tours of facilities with prospective clients at all levels.
- To build a strong client relationship, understanding and interpreting the aim of the event and therefore provide all the options and facilities available to realise the goal.
- Prepare and send out client contracts and quotations. Arrange appropriate client set-up in system – (e.g. client organisation financial details, VAT status and credit facilities).
- Ensure subsequent timely receipt and prompt banking of deposit monies.
- Attendance at networking events, trade exhibitions and familiarisation trips where appropriate for face-to-face selling.
- To actively obtain post event client feedback, ensuring that it is recorded and effectively communicated to all relevant parties
- Accurate data entry and recording of booking information including records of all customer contact in order to maximise potential business and ensure effective communication to other departments.
- Maintenance of accurate and effective sales tracking information.
- To utilise opportunities that develop product knowledge, sales, marketing and customer service skills.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience :

- Have previous proactive sales experience, ideally in a Events venue environment, of sufficient quality to demonstrate proven success in this area.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to negotiate in a professional manner, maintaining the interests of the business at all times
- Excellent standard of written and spoken English and numeracy
- High level of attention to detail
- Be computer literate, (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience of a computerised diary/booking system would be beneficial
- Experience of and ability to present effectively to clients
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Experience of, and ability to show initiative in, a pressured environment
- Be flexible and able to work longer hours at business critical times.
