My client is seeking an accounts assistant to join their Soho-based finance team. Within this role you will provide support predominately across the financial operations of our UK & US entities and will be required to liaise across the business. You will report to the team’s management accountants.
You will be joining a hard-working, friendly and young team of 8 people.
The list of duties, but not limited to these, are:
-Preparation of accruals and prepayments for the month end.
-Supervising and helping an AP clerk.
-Accounts preparation for several small companies.
-P/L and B/S variance analysis of small companies.
-B/S reconciliation of various G/L accounts.
-Fixed Asset register maintenance.
-VAT returns preparation on a quarterly basis
-Assisting management accountants.
-Any other ad-hoc duties.
-Good educational background.
-Part qualified with basic to intermediate accounting knowledge.
-Experience of min 2-4 years in accounting departments with exposure to different functions.
-Solid experience in Accounts Payable.
-SAP knowledge preferable, but not essential.
-Experience in a similar role is essential
-Team orientated and strong attention to detail.
-A "can do" attitude and flexible approach.
-Ability to work under pressure.
