A leading P&I Club have a new opportunity for a claims support person. This role will involve working within the claims team within a P&I Club to provide proactive and professional assistance with claims processing and associated administration related to claims processing. Previous experience as a Claims Assistant/Technician is essential and exposure to a P&I/Marine claims environment would be advantageous.

Duties & Responsibilities:

To provide an efficient claims processing service for the Membership.
To include claims processing, the processing of Defence fees, 'special payments', general accounting queries, contras, 'claims held' and the production of monthly defence payments reports.
To provide an efficient, cost-effective basic claims handling service matching the needs of the Membership.
This role will include appointing correspondents in respect of pre-load surveys, sending 'confirmation of entry' messages and administration in respect of deviations.
The role may also include the provision of an appropriate level of assistance to the Claims Director in respect of the claims processing function across the regions.
Ensuring that audit, EQS and VAT procedures are adhered to etc.
