My client was formed in 1998 and are holders of approved contractor status. Their range of services include static, retail, corporate and manned guarding, door supervision and close protection, with their operating area mainly being London and the South East they have an enviable client list of blue chip clients. They have a turnover of approximately £7.0m.
In order to take the company on to the next level I am on my client’s behalf looking for candidates for the position of Business Development Manager. This role is a great opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious manned security sales professional looking to be able to map out their own long-term future. Working closely with the operations team the purpose of the role is to secure new profitable and operationally viable business in the London and South East area. Currently there is not a sales department and the incoming BDM will be responsible for the its development and achieving its strategic aims. The company are being extremely realistic and supportive in setting the first year sales target as covering costs to give the incumbent ample opportunity to devise and implement the sales systems required for long term success.
Candidates will in the main work from home/be in the field but be expected to visit the office once a week to undertake paperwork and report progress to management, otherwise the BDM will be responsible for their own diary.
Candidates for this role must be entrepreneurial, experienced in the sale of manned guarding services (at least three years) with a proven track record of success and a knowledge of the entire sales cycle from initial lead finding through to tendering, presentations and closing the sale. Commission will be paid at 10% of net profit for the life of the contract.
Basic salary £40k-£45k, phone, laptop etc.
