The Head Teacher of this new and exciting secondary school in South London, Kingston is keen to appoint a Head of Geography for the new school year, September 2017. The successful candidate will either be a current Head of Geography or an experienced and ambitious Geography Teacher; ready for middle management. You must have a proven track record of delivering 'good’ or 'outstanding’ lessons across the key stages, ideally with the ability to teach across KS3, 4 & 5. Your passion for teaching Geography is a must, as well as having the ability to motivate and enthuse pupils in your care.
As Head of Geography at this school, you will be initially leading a small team, with this set to grow year on year, as the school grows to full capacity. The school currently have over 500 pupils in Years 7-9, so your appointment will give you the rare opportunity to shape the strategic direction of this department within an expanding, evolving Inner City school. The Head Teacher and SLT have high expectations of all staff and invest heavily in to CPD, keen to promote from within and offer exciting career progression to their talented team. You will be given support if and when needed but ultimately, this would be your chance shine.
