This is an opportunity to join a highly original car leasing business founded in 2012. The company has experienced rapid growth due to its unique business model which is an innovative approach to car leasing. The company is on the cusp of partnering with a major brand to expand its product portfolio, including extending the volume of cars leased. The company now seeks to appoint an experienced financial officer who will bring technical skills gained in the car leasing business and who will be integral to driving the business forward.

The successful applicant will be part of the senior team, reporting to the CEO and Finance Director. You will be accountable for financial and operational strategy to support the company's financial goals, objectives and targets.

The exact location of this role is South Godstone, RH9. The basic salary is £60-65k with a discretionary performance bonus of £10,000 pa.

About the role:
The successful applicant will be accountable for the administrative, financial and risk management operations of the company, including the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to maximise the company's assets and report accurate financial results.

Principal accountabilities include:
- Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
- Manage the preparation of the monthly management accounts for presentation to the Finance Director
- Manage the preparation of the monthly management accounts for presentation to the Finance Director within 10 working days after month end
- Provide analysis of the numbers in the management accounts
- Manage the year-end close process and liaise with the external Accountants
- Oversee and improve the company's transaction processing systems
- Own the management of the Sage accounting system
- On a weekly basis, maintain a cash flow forecast
- Preparation and submission of monthly payroll to payroll provider
- Preparation of monthly CT61 and R185 returns
- Complete the quarterly FCA reporting and manage the completion of the monthly CAIS
- Draft annual and quarterly budgets
- Ensure that adequate processes and internal controls are set up and adhered to
- Lead, manage and develop the finance team (four staff)

Essential requirements
- ACA/CIMA qualified
- At least 5 years' experience working at a similar level in a car leasing company
- Excellent Excel skills and experience in Sage 50
- Proactive at solving problems with a positive, optimistic outlook
- Assertive and confident; able to deal with difficult situations
- Ability to prioritise tasks, communicate and delegate effectively to the team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Agility to work in a fast paced office
- A team player with great people skills
