Due to continuous growth of a market leading manufacturer and supplier of transmission clutch and brake discs, they currently have a unique and exciting career development opportunity for a talented professional to lead and oversee all aspects of the commercial functions of the business.

The successful individual will be part of the senior management team and be focused on business development opportunities. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively manage an international sales team whilst coordinating the business supply chain. It is also important for the candidate to have extensive business management knowledge and experience within the engineering/manufacturing industry. In addition, it is desirable that the professional has a mechanical engineering background allowing them to converse with engineers on a technical basis so that customer requirements can be effectively analysed.

Company Profile:

The company was started in the UK in 1991, with the specific goal of providing a product and service to a standard that had previously been unavailable, to the earthmoving and mining aftermarkets. Key personnel were drawn together from various backgrounds that collectively had many years' experience in this field.

Today all genuine FMC parts are supplied and manufactured in our own facilities based in Nottinghamshire, England, or from our tooling at key manufacturers around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

- Regularly review and provide guidance and challenge on strategic project and business opportunities.
- Explore ways of increasing profitability by monitoring and analysing market trends.
- Liaising internally with stakeholders including functions such as Shipping, Accounts and Operations to ensure that 'customer's needs' are achieved and exceeded.
- Pro-actively manage the available resources of staff, skills and systems in order to maximise performance.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and suppliers throughout the supply chain.
- Generate new sales opportunities.
- Participate in direct marketing campaigns to boost the profile of the company.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

- Previous training, experience or qualifications in Technical sales or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to easily build rapport and strong professional relationships.
- Strong negotiation skills with the emphasis on win/win outcomes.
- Excellent organisational and analytic skills.
- Highly developed collaboration and people management skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application e.g. MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
