Your new company
You will be joining an established organisation which places the service user at the heart of everything they do. This organisation is focused on supporting vulnerable people in the community. This organisation primarily supports service users are whose lives have been held back by a range of social issues and concerns, including substance misuse and other forms of addiction, homelessness, poverty, unemployment, domestic abuse, mental health issues and offending. Therefore, they are committed and passionate about getting service users lives back on track


Your new role
You will be providing front line support and advice to the service users who have substance misuse needs, promoting a healthier lifestyle and their independence. Your duties will range from assessments, advising on the different methods of recovery, individual and group work, through to support sessions and needle exchanges. You will be required to lead a team also.


What you'll need to succeed
Hands on extensive experience in a like for like role with a focus on both drug and alcohol recovery.

Your focus will be on delivering and developing group/pod work programmes, such as Foundations of Recovery. You will work with other programme facilitators and professionals within your project to design and deliver groups/pods, using evidence based practice, covering the most appropriate issues to your service users.
Role-specific responsibilities
Research, design and prepare subject matter and materials for groups/pods. Engage with debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitator/s after groups/pods have taken place.
Lead on graduation events for service users who have completed the programme.
Review service user feedback and make adjustments as necessary.
Tailor specific workshops around the needs of the SUs, such as: anger management, sleep disorders, relationships, etc.
Research and confirm community venues as needed.
