Network & Security Engineer - Investment Management (Financial Services) - City of London
We are a leading Wealth Management and Investments business established in the UK over 15 years ago but with a long standing presence in the US. We now employ over 200 people across the UK managing our 34,000 client's assets totalling £6.71 billion.
Our IT department are integral to our growth and success and we are now looking for a skilled Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.
This position would suite a more junior individual with maybe 1-3 years networking experience.
The Network Infrastructure Engineer will provide 2nd/ 3rd level support to network and systems infrastructure under the direction of the Team Leader. Responsibilities include management, support and security of switches, firewalls, SSL VPN appliances and related peripheral equipment. The role also includes responsibility for deploying and maintaining site-to-site VPN's between our data centres and 3rd parties or remote sites.

Some of the Responsibilities include:
Network Support and Implementation Services:
? Implementation and maintenance of firewalls, including firewall rule set creation and troubleshooting.
? Deploying Palo Alto branch firewall solution for new remote offices.
? Site to Site VPN creation and troubleshooting.
? Implementation and maintenance of Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches, routers and peripherals.
Data Centre Operations:
? To maintain the current data centre environment: connectivity, power, cooling, security and access.
? Ensure morning checks are completed
? Maintain data centre rack and cable patching diagrams
? Data processing and system monitoring support for Windows and UNIX servers
? Maintain logs of operational activities
? Monitor backup processes and perform restores
? Monitoring all scheduled batch and transmission jobs including end result of each
Skills & Experience required:
? Firewall administration/ configuration (Palo Alto or Juniper preferred but not essential)
? Cisco Switches / Routers (CCNA or CCNP beneficial)
? TCP/IP Networking
? Cisco VOIP Call Manager CUCM (beneficial but not essential)
Location: City of London
Salary: £37,000 - £42,000 + Excellent Bonus & Benefits
(Additional finances can be earned via overtime + on call)
