Our client, a high profile government organisation is seeking to hire a number of Contract Managers to manage key contracts during their full contract lifecycle. These are often contracts for complex services in markets where there are a limited number of suppliers and therefore a high degree of interdependency with the supplier. 

They are looking for high-calibre individuals that have managed critical contracts by putting in robust processes for management and who can build strong, commercial relationships to get ‘best value’.

You should have the following:

·Experience of deriving maximum value from contracts mid term and manage the commercial consequences of change. Able to build strong relationships with supplier personnel to ensure that plans are implemented, innovation encouraged and ensure robust performance processes are carried out.

·Have the skills to identify potential risk areas and carry out risk mitigation actions. Develop contingency plans to support risk management.

·The ability to manage variations to the contract ensuring best value for money delivered to deadlines

·Be able to monitor commercial performance against a business case, recording savings and other benefits. Conduct ad-hoc benchmarking and apply contract levers to reduce whole lifecycle costs and deliver value.

·Be skilled at managing a team – able to train, coach and mentor and lead by example

·Experience of managing complexity – you should be numerate and have excellent analytical skills to assist contract monitoring

·Excellent interpersonal/influencing and communication skills to influence senior stakeholders across complex organisational structures

·Energy and the ability to work at pace

·Ideally you should be MCIPS or equivalent and be of degree calibre
