Group Compliance is recruiting for a Senior Financial Crime Oversight Manager. This exciting role is focused on providing second line advice and support in relation to the development of the Group’s Digital and True Customer Composite (TCC) Strategy. 

The complex and rapidly changing regulatory environment puts a spotlight on maintaining and developing Aviva’s group-wide compliance and financial crime capabilities. Regulatory and wider stakeholder expectations continue to rise in many of the markets Aviva operates in so the need to adapt and execute at speed, automate more, whilst bearing down on costs, bringing propositions to market more quickly, simplify products and embed innovations all the while understanding the risks and opportunities posed by the Group's Digital and TCC strategies are taken into account fully and new regulatory proposals are designed to facilitate the Digital communications and distribution

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively alongside the Group Centre of Excellence and Core Function teams contribute to the design and delivery of monitoring reviews of the effectiveness of the compliance functions within the UK businesses (covering conduct and financial crime risk).
  • Provide strong experience and input and guidance for the UK compliance oversight team on financial crime.
  • Review UK BU compliance reporting to assess and challenge the quality of reporting and to identify obstacles and emerging conduct and financial crime risks and themes, develop lobbying strategies to remove these obstacles ahead of time.
  • Establish network of contacts within the industry, regulatory and consultancy community to understand best practice in the digital technology for insurance and investment businesses and advise on how Aviva compares with its peers/best practice in its risk appetite for digital risk.
Skills & Experience required

  • Proven industry knowledge and technical ability on financial crime regulation, risk identification and management.
  • Knowledgeable on conduct risk with a confidence to communicate and adapt your style to suit the audience both technical and business.
  • A good understanding of the requirements of an effective compliance function.
  • Good experience of building relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing successful change initiatives advantageous.
