We provide our Software as a Service to clients to enable fans access to tickets and events across multiple platforms 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our systems work at scale; handling tens of thousands of concurrent users, selling thousands of tickets for massive sporting, music, multi-show stadium, touring, festivals and thousands of smaller events globally. On-sale events are like a regular Black Friday for us with 1000s of people all wanting the very best tickets at the moment they make their bookings. Working at this scale and keeping up with rapidly changing technology ensures that even the most innovative person will be consistently challenged and pushed to develop new solutions in a highly collaborative, cross functional and diverse organisation.

We need a skilled and passionate Systems Engineer, with expertise in Linux to join our team and also play a critical role in our DevOps transformation. You will be working as an embedded member with our Software Engineering teams in a 'Product Delivery’ sub-team. The successful candidate will be improving tools, assisting in continuous build, release management and focusing on enabling the Engineering teams to be more autonomous for the Products and Services they are delivering.

You will be working with a highly motivated, collaborative, close-nit and enthusiastic team. You will be confident, collaborative, operationally minded with good development skills and a keen interest in learning.

Job Requirements

  • Hands on experience of leveraging Public Cloud services - Google, AWS etc etc
  • Understands and implements the best practises in systems design and engineering, really being able to interconnect dependent services in a scalable robust way
  • Hands on experience with a broad range of web technologies - we use a lot of Apache and some Tomcat / NGINX
  • Excellent scripting with high level languages such as Python / GO
  • Working knowledge of 'infrastructure as code’ and containerisation - we’re in the midst of migrating to Chef and Docker
  • Experience of CI/CD principles and working knowledge of relevant tooling
