About the role
Seeking an experienced and well-connected business-to-business Director, who can win business, create and can maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with clients and brokers. You will focus on the creation of new long-term partnership opportunities with distributors in the UK & Ireland (and potentially other European markets) and be a significant contributor to the UK/Ireland sales target. Reporting to the Head of UK & Ireland, you will work closely with the other origination and underwriting colleagues to deliver challenging new business targets. The successful candidate will bring extensive knowledge of the insurance markets, commercial insurance products and be familiar with the distribution landscape in the UK. You will manage the origination process from first contact through to implementation of programmes of insurance, including regular interaction with broker partners' placement and customer teams and our clients own underwriting teams. The candidate will co-ordinate, guide and project manage cross-functional teams where necessary to ensure sales success. An ability to engage colleagues across the organisation to deliver results is essential.
As a Senior UK Client manager you will concentrate on:
*New opportunity spotting: Networking, pipeline building, lead creation, understanding of the market players
*Early origination: First contact, early pitches, creating high-level engagement with partners and internally , working with others in the business
*Deal creation: Bringing together the broker partner and internal cross-functional teams to create a successful proposition
*Implementation: ensuring the successful implementation of the deal,
*Post-deal success: Taking responsibility for the broker and client experience in transacting with the organisation, maintaining a long-term strategic connection with the broker partner and customer to drive future mutually beneficial developments

About You
A consummate market professional with a deep understanding of the market, its key players and holding strong personal relationships with these.
An individual with a strong sales background demonstrating sales process discipline and with an edge to get deals 'over the line'.
Someone with knowledge of the developing broker market and holding some outstanding relationships, a broad knowledge of insurance products and an understanding of their relevance to customers.
You will have a proven track record as a successful sales leader, who is focused on delivering results. You will naturally have excellent sales, negotiation, influencing and presentation skills. You will have executive presence and be open-minded, trustworthy and enthusiastic. You should feel at ease leaving your comfort zone and be able to perform under pressure. You will have the ability to deal positively with ambiguity and conflict. It is important to work collaboratively and promote teamwork to get things done; you will do this by being an excellent communicator - with a sense of fun.
Fluency in English and any additional European language skills are a plus.
