My client, a leading sports organisation based in Central London, is looking to recruit a Finance Manager. This is an exceptional opportunity for the successful candidate to join an award winning organisation and Finance Manager will be a key member of the team, and will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Finance Department. The role will have high visibility across all areas of the Group, and will involve establishing an excellent working relationship with senior managers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for the company
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end audit files and final TBs for each entity
  • Reporting to the Finance Director meet with the senior management team to discuss and prepare draft budgets for the group
  • Complete and file statutory returns including VAT and ensure full compliance is achieved and maintained
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations and other major balance sheet accounts
  • Manage Sales and Purchased Ledger
  • Oversee day to day banking arrangements, cash holdings and appropriate mandates
  • Provide line management support as required ensuring that each member of staff is appraised annually, has a personal development plan in place, and that performance is reviewed regularly

Key skills:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • IT literate with strong MS Excel skills
  • Excellent technical abilities to integrate and manipulate data from different sources whilst minimising manual processing
  • Ability to work as a team and influence at all levels
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines remaining calm at all times
  • Confident to challenge the business to ensure best practise is adopted at all times
