Our client is a Hampshire-based softwarecompany, formed in 1997. They have long prided themselves on their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Business Intelligence (BI) areas.Our client’s solutions support business growth through effective management of business processes in customer service, marketing and sales. Due to constant growth and expansion within the company, our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual to take on the role of their Pre-Sales Technical Consultant.

Overall purpose of role:

  • To provide technical guidance, pre-sales consulting and solution demonstrations required by the Business Development team in the marketing and selling of all products and solutions within our client’s portfolio.
  • To provide pre-sales and sales support to channel partners for our client’s own software products

Day to day activities:

A typical day shall consist of reviewing and qualifying inbound enquiries,driven largely through our web presence. Follow up is usually required to clarify and answer technical and/or commercial questions raised by the prospect and to record, assess and progress the opportunity. It isimportant to establish as quickly as possible the customer’s business needs and requirements and developa solution. Relationships with prospects and customers shall be managed through online and physical presentations and demonstrations.Customers are a mix of CRM end users, IT departments and Channel Partners - in the UK and international. Ongoing learning is required to maintain currency of knowledge in a fast moving area of business applcations.

Require some commercial experience (min year out/placement)

Main traits required are:

  • Commercial acumen and experience within a selling environment
  • Problem Solver - ability to evaluate business requirements against technology-based solutions
  • Ability to self motivate and relish the challenge of professional development
  • Good communication skills across all media and channels

Remuneration:

£20k-£30k Salary based on experience.

Pension as per Government requirement

Death in Service Cover

20 Days leave plus 1 per year up to 25 (plus public holidays)
